Baker Mayfield and Wife Emily Expecting Baby No. 2 — It’s a Boy!
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily Mayfield have another little teammate on the way. The couple announced they are expecting their second child, sharing the joyful update with fans on Instagram.
The reveal began with their 19-month-old daughter Kova holding a sonogram photo while wearing an adorable “Big Sis” shirt. Baker and Emily then showcased photos from their gender reveal, where they cut into blue-layered cake — confirming they’re expecting a baby boy.
“New addition coming April 2026, and we couldn’t feel luckier 💙,” the couple captioned their joint post.
Baker and Emily, who married in 2019, welcomed their first child, daughter Kova, in April 2024. At the time, Emily shared the happy news on Instagram Stories, saying their newborn was “everything we prayed for, and more.” She also mentioned their dog Fergus, who immediately took a gentle and curious interest in the new baby.
Speaking to Sports Spectrum in March 2025, Baker opened up about how fatherhood has changed him.
“People always say you don’t know love until you see your child for the first time, and now I understand it,” he shared. “It turned our world upside down in the best way.”
Emily previously told the Tampa Bay Times that Baker is a natural dad. “He’s totally wrapped around Kova’s finger,” she said. “Now that she giggles and looks at him with that little pout, he’s done for. He loves being her dad.”
With baby No. 2 on the way, the Mayfields are gearing up to become a family of four — plus Fergus — and fans couldn’t be more excited for the growing Buccaneers family.
