Brittany Cartwright Says She’s ‘Praying’ Her Divorce from Jax Taylor Will Be Finalized Next Month — Confirms He’s “Absolutely Not” on The Valley Season 3
Brittany Cartwright is more than ready to close the chapter on her marriage to Jax Taylor.
During The Valley cast panel at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 14, the 36-year-old reality star shared a long-awaited update on her ongoing divorce from Taylor, whom she filed to split from in August 2024.
Cartwright revealed she is “praying” the divorce becomes official next month after an originally scheduled Oct. 15 finalization date was postponed. “Things are happening with Jax… Fingers crossed,” she told fans.
Cartwright and Taylor — who share 4-year-old son Cruz — have been navigating a very public separation since early 2024. Despite Taylor announcing in July that he would not return to Season 3 of The Valley, Cartwright doubled down at BravoCon, saying he will “absolutely not” appear in the new season. The audience cheered as she added that viewers can expect “a lot more funny moments” this time around.
Taylor previously shared that stepping away from the series was essential for his well-being. “My focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting,” he told Variety over the summer, noting he wants to become the best version of himself for Cruz.
Cartwright also opened up about why she chose to be transparent about the breakdown of their marriage. “If I could help people learn how to get out of a toxic situation, that was really important to me,” she said.
Over the past year, Taylor has spoken publicly about his struggles with addiction and said he was “disgusted” by his behavior toward Cartwright after watching The Valley Season 2. Just weeks before Cartwright filed for divorce, he voluntarily checked into a 30-day in-patient mental health facility.
At BravoCon, Cartwright also confirmed her current relationship status: “I am single!”
Last month, she announced her split from boyfriend Brandon Hanson after a brief two-month romance. She clarified that she was not a “homewrecker,” saying both she and Hanson were already separated when they began dating.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Cartwright and Hanson connected because they were navigating similar life changes and found emotional support in each other.
