Brittany Cartwright Admits She’s “Too Ashamed” to Rewatch Vanderpump Rules: “I Would Absolutely Die”
Brittany Cartwright is done looking back at her Vanderpump Rules days.
During a cast panel for The Valley at BravoCon 2025 on Nov. 14 in Las Vegas, the reality star opened up about why she refuses to rewatch the Bravo show that first made her a household name.
Cartwright, who appeared on Vanderpump Rules from 2015 to 2020, revealed that reliving certain moments — especially the drama-filled season 6 recordings scandal — is something she simply cannot handle today.
“I would absolutely die if I rewatched Vanderpump Rules. Especially the season where I was playing the recordings at the parties,” she admitted. “I think if I watched it back… I’d be too ashamed of myself. Because of where I am now.”
Despite the embarrassment, Cartwright acknowledged that those years shaped her life today. “But remember, I wouldn’t have Cruz,” she said, referring to her 4-year-old son she shares with ex-husband Jax Taylor. “So live and learn.”

Cartwright also told fans that her son is “doing amazing” and described him as “just incredible,” sharing a happy update amid an emotional chapter in her personal life.
Her Divorce From Jax Taylor Continues
Cartwright and Taylor exited Vanderpump Rules in 2020 after season 8 and later appeared on the first two seasons of The Valley. The pair announced they were taking time apart before Cartwright filed for divorce in August 2024.
At BravoCon, she revealed she’s “praying” her divorce will be finalized soon.
“It was supposed to be Oct. 15, and it’s been pushed back. Fingers crossed,” she said. Cartwright also confirmed that Taylor will “absolutely not” appear in The Valley Season 3.
Hoping Her Journey Helps Others
Reflecting on her past relationship, Cartwright said she hopes her story encourages others in similar situations.
“If I could help people learn how to get out of a toxic situation, that was really important to me,” she shared.
As she focuses on a new chapter in motherhood and reality TV, Cartwright is making one thing clear — some memories are better left unwatched.
