Dylan Efron Calls Zac Efron’s Dancing with the Stars Support a “Full Circle” Moment
Dylan Efron is opening up about the emotional moment his brother, Zac Efron, stepped into the ballroom to cheer him on during the Dancing with the Stars semifinals.
The 33-year-old Traitors winner and DWTS finalist revealed to Entertainment Tonight that seeing Zac in the audience during Prince Night on Nov. 18 truly moved him.
“I grew up watching him do stuff like this, so it’s full circle,” Dylan shared. “Just looking over and seeing my family and my girlfriend there… that’s my support system. I love it.”
Dylan later told E! News that Zac’s presence “meant everything,” adding, “The fact that he’s now watching me do this is crazy to me. It means the world to me.”

The High School Musical star was seen in the ballroom stands alongside the brothers’ 5-year-old sister, Olivia, celebrating Dylan’s semifinal performances with partner Daniella Karagach.
The duo earned 27/30 for their Tango to “I Would Die 4 U” and 28/30 for their Cha Cha to “Kiss,” both iconic Prince hits.
Before the night ended — which saw Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas eliminated — Zac also encouraged fans to vote for Dylan by sharing supportive messages on his Instagram Stories.
Dylan Efron Talks About Reaching the DWTS Finale
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Dylan said he’s finally “getting the full experience” of the DWTS journey as he heads into the finale scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
“We’ve treated every week like it’s our final,” he said. “But this one truly is. I’m going to enjoy every moment and give it my all.”
The support from his family — including his parents and younger siblings — has been especially meaningful.
A Dream Fulfilled for the Efron Family
Dylan previously revealed that his mother, Starla Baskett, once hoped Zac would compete on DWTS 20 years ago. Now, the dream is coming full circle with Dylan taking the floor — and Zac cheering him on.
“My mom’s dream was Zac doing the show,” Dylan said. “So I’m excited for her to be here, and for my dad and my little brother and little sister. It’s going to make me tear up to see them in the stands.”
With the finale approaching, Dylan says he’s ready to make his family proud.
