Kandi Burruss Celebrates “Cloud 9” Moment After Winning Wifetime Achievement Award at BravoCon 2025

Kandi Burruss is celebrating a major milestone!

The Grammy-winning songwriter, actress, and longtime Real Housewives of Atlanta star received the prestigious Wifetime Achievement Award during BravoCon 2025 on Friday, Nov. 14, in Las Vegas. The honor was presented at The Bravos, where Bravo recognizes standout achievements across its reality TV universe.

The 49-year-old star was celebrated for her historic 14-season run on The Real Housewives of Atlanta — the longest in the franchise’s history — as well as her additional Bravo shows, including Kandi & the Gang, The Kandi Factory, Kandi Koated Nights, and Xscape: Still Kickin’ It. Burruss was also recognized for her successful career beyond Bravo as a Broadway producer, actress, singer, entrepreneur, and host of The Burruss Banter podcast.

Speaking with Bravo after the ceremony, Burruss said she was overwhelmed with gratitude.
“I am filled with all kinds of tingly senses because I’m excited,” she shared. “It was a wonderful feeling to accept the award with my daughter standing right next to me. All the fans were showing so much love, and even our whole Bravo family was showing love. I really appreciate it. It made me feel good. I’m so thankful to be the Wifetime Achievement Award recipient.”

Burruss later posted the clip on social media with the caption: “I’m on cloud 9 right now! ❤️”

The honor was first publicly revealed back in July when Burruss and her daughter Riley appeared on Watch What Happens Live. Host and Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen surprised her with the news, telling her how meaningful the award would be. Burruss admitted she was shocked, saying, “Wait a minute, y’all picking me? What?”

Burruss joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2009 during the show’s second season and remained a central figure until her 2023 departure. While she has expressed love for the franchise, she told Entertainment Tonight earlier this year that she doesn’t see a return happening anytime soon. “I’m just not there at this moment in my life,” she said. “I’m doing what I really love. But I’m supporting from afar.”

Although she’s not returning to reality TV right now, Burruss is preparing for her Broadway comeback. She will join the cast of the hit musical & Juliet starting December 11, 2025, portraying Angélique, Juliet’s nurse, in a limited run at New York City’s Stephen Sondheim Theatre through March 8, 2026.

BravoCon 2025 continues through Sunday, Nov. 16, at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
