Lisa Vanderpump is opening up about what fans can expect from the brand-new era of Vanderpump Rules — and according to her, the revamped cast is “naughtier, sexier and funnier” than the OGs.
Appearing at BravoCon 2025 on Saturday, Nov. 15, the 65-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum previewed the upcoming 12th season of the long-running Bravo hit, which premieres Dec. 2.
Vanderpump made it clear this season will feel fresh and bold.
“It’s definitely got a different flavor,” she told attendees. “It’s new, it’s funny, it’s fast. We’re not trying to recreate what we did before. This is something different.”
A New Era of Vanderpump Rules
Bravo first confirmed in 2024 that Vanderpump Rules would return with an all-new cast, shifting the focus away from longtime stars like Jax Taylor, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval.
Season 12 introduces a new group of SUR employees — a tight-knit circle of friends, frenemies and co-workers who bring the same high-energy chaos fans love, just with a modern twist.
Bravo describes the reboot as a “new shift” for the franchise, with drama that remains “messy, complicated and explosive,” even with the new uniforms and fresh faces.
Meet the New Cast
The reboot lineup includes:
-
Venus Binkley
-
Jason Cohen
-
Shayne Davis
-
Natalie Maguire
-
Angelica Jensen (a brand-new SUR hire)
-
Plus several additional SURvers
Vanderpump herself returns as the backbone of the series.
“They’re a wild bunch,” she said. “They’re a lot of fun. I like them all — for all their naughtiness and hi-jinks.”
Not Just Drama — Real Emotion
While fans can expect plenty of pump-tinis and chaos, Vanderpump says the reboot also dives deep into the cast’s personal stories.
“Everyone has some kind of history,” she revealed. “We go quite deep emotionally. It’s very different from how Vanderpump Rules evolved when the problems became very serious.”
During BravoCon, fans were shown a sneak-peek clip in which Vanderpump calls the new cast “naughtier, sexier, funnier” than the original group — and admits she felt the franchise needed a fresh start.
One of the biggest reasons for the shift?
“We had to deal with people not wanting to film with each other,” Vanderpump shared. “I don’t want to go down on a sinking ship.”
She joked that if by this time next year the new cast has become “a pain in the ass,” then she’ll know the reboot was a success.
Before Season 12: A Special Look Back
Ahead of the new era, Bravo is airing a special titled “Raise Your Glass to 11 Seasons,” featuring Lisa Vanderpump and Andy Cohen looking back on the franchise’s 12-year evolution. It premieres Nov. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Vanderpump reflected:
“The last 12 years have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”
When Does Vanderpump Rules Season 12 Premiere?
Season 12 premieres December 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, with episodes available the next day on Peacock.
BravoCon continues through Nov. 16 in Las Vegas.
