Why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Were Deleted from Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner’s Birthday Photo Drop
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were among the star-studded guest list at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration — but fans were quick to notice that photos of the couple mysteriously disappeared from Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner’s Instagram posts soon after they were uploaded.
According to PEOPLE, the reason behind the deletion is simple: the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not give permission for their photos to be shared publicly.
Meghan and Harry Declined Photo Consent
Before entering the event, all guests were reportedly asked to sign a photo consent form. Sources say Meghan and Harry “checked ‘no,’” meaning their images could not be published or shared online. After Kardashian and Jenner initially posted pictures featuring the couple, the photos were quietly removed to honor their privacy choice.
The pair attended the James Bond–themed party hand-in-hand at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos’s Beverly Hills mansion on Saturday, Nov. 8.
“They looked very happy,” a source told PEOPLE. “Meghan was glowing in a black wrap-style dress that showed off one leg, fitting the Bond theme perfectly. Harry looked sharp in a tuxedo with a poppy pinned for Remembrance Day.”
Criticism Over Timing
Despite their glamorous appearance, the couple faced criticism for their night out just ahead of Remembrance Sunday — one of the most solemn days in the British royal calendar, honoring fallen members of the armed forces across the U.K. and the Commonwealth.
Star-Studded Guest List
The lavish bash featured a roster of A-list attendees including Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Adele and Rich Paul, Tyler Perry, Vin Diesel, and Mark Zuckerberg.
Kris Jenner was surrounded by her famous family — Kim, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie Kardashian-Jenner, as well as Travis Barker, Scott Disick, Tristan Thompson, and longtime boyfriend Corey Gamble.
Inside the Party
The birthday girl stunned in a vintage Givenchy Haute Couture gown from Alexander McQueen’s Fall/Winter 2002 collection, sourced from luxury vintage retailer LILY et Cie. She completed the look with black opera gloves, Bvlgari jewelry, and Van Cleef & Arpels earrings, while hairstylist Chris Appleton crafted her elegant up-do.
Adding to the glitz, Bruno Mars reportedly performed live for guests, according to TMZ.
