Ray J Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Gun at Ex-Wife Princess Love During Intense Livestream Clash
Ray J was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday, Nov. 27, after he allegedly pulled a gun on his ex-wife, Princess Love, during a heated argument that unfolded live on social media.
According to TMZ, the 44-year-old singer — whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr. — was booked on a charge of making a criminal threat. His bail was set at $50,000, and he was released later that same day. The LAPD has not issued a public comment, and representatives for the former couple have not responded to media requests.
Heated Livestream Sparks Serious Allegations
Clips from the livestream quickly spread across social platforms, showing Ray J accusing Princess Love and several others of planning to “drive drunk.” Princess, who appeared on camera while holding the couple’s 7-year-old daughter Melody, confronted Ray J, claiming he had just pointed a gun at her.
“You just pointed a gun,” Princess said during the video. Ray J denied the accusation, saying, “I didn’t point nothing at y’all,” while also calling Princess and her family members “alcoholics.”
The couple shares two children — Melody, 7, and Epik, 5.
During the argument, Princess said, “All I wanted to do was have a good Thanksgiving,” while Ray J insisted she had woken their daughter during the confrontation. At one point, Princess accused Ray J of being “a woman abuser,” escalating the tension on the livestream.
Ray J Allegedly Threatens Police
Princess later told Ray J she had called the police. Ray J responded with, “I’ll shoot the f—ing police,” according to the viral video.
TMZ also reported that Ray J began the livestream saying he was having “the worst Thanksgiving in the f—ing world,” and was seen holding a gun while warning anyone approaching his door.
A Long and Complicated Relationship
Ray J and Princess Love married in 2016, but their marriage has been turbulent for years. In February 2024, Princess filed for divorce for the fourth time. The pair has continued to co-parent despite ongoing public conflicts.
