Sabrina Carpenter “Arrests” Nicole Kidman Onstage in Nashville: “We Come to This Arena for Magic”
Sabrina Carpenter turned her Nashville concert into a star-studded spectacle when she “arrested” Nicole Kidman onstage — complete with her now-iconic pink fuzzy handcuffs.
During her Short n’ Sweet Tour stop at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 4, the pop star playfully pulled the Oscar-winning actress into her cheeky onstage bit, referencing Kidman’s viral AMC Theatres commercial with the line, “We come to this arena for magic, right?”
The crowd erupted as the camera panned to Kidman, 58, in the audience. Carpenter, 26, jokingly told her, “I expected to find love, but not my soulmate.”
After chatting with Kidman and asking her where she was from, Carpenter teased, “But you live in Nashville, so if things work out between us, I guess I’m moving to Nashville.”
Carpenter then added a playful nod to Kidman’s 2024 film Babygirl, saying, “You’re so Babygirl, I don’t know what to do.” The singer handed her the pink handcuffs and dedicated her performance of “Juno” to the actress, asking if Kidman would be her “Juno girl” for the night.
This isn’t the first celebrity Carpenter has “arrested” mid-show — her growing list includes Gigi Hadid, Emma Bunton, Joe Keery, and Margaret Qualley.
Nicole Kidman’s Nashville Connection
Nicole Kidman has called Nashville home since 2006, when she married country star Keith Urban. The couple, who share two daughters — Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 — recently made headlines after announcing their divorce in September 2025 following nearly two decades of marriage.
Kidman officially filed for divorce a day after the split was confirmed. She also shares two older children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, from her first marriage to Tom Cruise.
The family’s longtime home, a $3 million estate nicknamed “The Queen of Northumberland,” served as their main residence. Sources have said Kidman continues to live full-time in Nashville, describing her as deeply connected to the city’s tight-knit community.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Nashville Moment
The playful moment between Carpenter and Kidman comes amid the pop star’s explosive success in 2025. Carpenter has become one of pop’s brightest acts thanks to viral hits like “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” and her fun onstage antics continue to charm fans and celebrities alike.
With Nicole Kidman’s surprise cameo, Carpenter once again proved that “we come to this arena for magic.”
