Blue Jays Pitcher Trey Yesavage Gets Engaged to Girlfriend Taylor Frick in Romantic Sunset Proposal
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Trey Yesavage and his longtime girlfriend Taylor Frick are officially engaged! The 22-year-old MLB standout proposed on Thursday, Nov. 13, during a stunning beachside sunset — creating a picture-perfect moment the couple shared in a joint Instagram post on Friday, Nov. 14.
“11/13/25 ~ in this lifetime & the next, it will always be you,” they wrote in the caption.
The proposal photos captured Yesavage kneeling in the sand, while Frick, 23, reacts with visible surprise and joy. Additional shots show the couple celebrating, including one sweet moment where Yesavage lifts his fiancée into the air as she proudly shows off her engagement ring.
Earlier this month, the pair revealed they officially moved in together. “Cheers to this new chapter roomies!!!” Frick posted on her Instagram Stories on Nov. 4, marking another milestone in their relationship.
The couple also celebrated their second anniversary on Oct. 9, when Yesavage honored Frick with a touching message calling her “the woman that completes” him. He added, “You fill my life with love and I’m so thankful for you.”
Their engagement comes shortly after Yesavage and the Blue Jays wrapped their intense World Series run, ultimately falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7. Despite the loss, Frick shared an emotional tribute to Yesavage on Nov. 2, praising his growth and strength throughout the season.
“Every day I wake up proud to call you mine,” she wrote, saying she’s “in awe of the person” he has become. Yesavage responded with heartfelt gratitude, telling Frick, “None of my success would happen without you there by my side. I love you beyond the moon and stars.”
