Vanessa Lachey Celebrates 20th Shared Birthday with Nick Lachey — See Their Sweet Throwback Photo from 2006
Vanessa and Nick Lachey are celebrating a major milestone — their 20th shared birthday together!
The Love Is Blind hosts, who both celebrate their birthdays on November 9, marked the special day on Sunday. Vanessa turned 45, while her husband, Nick, turned 52.
To commemorate the occasion, Vanessa shared a nostalgic Instagram post featuring a throwback photo from their very first joint birthday celebration in 2006. In the cozy snap, the couple cuddled up together at a restaurant table, smiling for the camera.
“20 Birthdays together. This was our first one, Nov 9, 2006,” Vanessa captioned the post. “I love celebrating and sharing birthdays and life with this man! Here’s to many more crazy beautiful journeys around the sun! ♥️☀️ Happy Birthday to us, my love!”
Nick also honored their big day with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. Alongside a sweet photo of the two sharing a kiss, the 98 Degrees singer wrote:
“Well, this is officially 20 straight years celebrating another trip around the sun with you! Truly, it is so special each and every time we get to wake up and whisper ‘Happy Birthday’ to each other. Here’s to many more together, babe! Happy, Happy Birthday @vanessalachey. I love you madly.”
The couple’s love story began on the set of MTV’s Total Request Live, where Vanessa Minnillo (as she was known then) was a host and Nick frequently appeared with his band. After Nick’s split from Jessica Simpson, he and Vanessa started dating in 2006, got engaged in 2010, and tied the knot the following year in 2011.
Now married for 14 years, the pair shares three children — sons Camden and Phoenix, and daughter Brooklyn — and continue to charm fans as co-hosts of Netflix’s Love Is Blind.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Nick reflected on their enduring relationship, saying he’s thankful they met before the rise of dating apps.
“Thank God we found each other before dating apps, because I wouldn’t have a chance,” Nick joked. “We really built our relationship through long conversations and deep questions — ‘Where do you see yourself in 10 years? What do you want out of life?’ Those moments made us who we are.”
Vanessa added that their strong connection stems from having “the same sense of humor,” while Nick agreed, saying, “Our hearts are meant to be together — we would’ve found each other anywhere, even in the pods.”
After two decades of birthdays together, it’s clear the Lacheys’ love only keeps growing stronger with every trip around the sun.
